Former Nigerian president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has arrived Bamako, the capital city of Mali, for a crucial diplomatic assignment, IgbereTV reports.
The former president revealed via his Twitter handle that he arrived Bamako on Wednesday evening, July 15.
“I arrived Bamako Wednesday evening with my delegation to begin my assignment as leader of @ecowas_cedeao peace mission to Mali.
“I’m optimistic that our mission will yield positive results. Our message of peace and progress has so far been well received by stakeholders,” the former president said on his verified Twitter on Wednesday evening.
