The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted its National Campaign Council for Edo Governorship election with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike as chairman.
In a statement made available to Igbere TV on Friday, the party also named Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, as deputy chairman.
This comes barely 48 hours after the All Progressives Congress (APC) constituted its 49-man campaign team with Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje as chairman.
Igbere TV reports that the Edo state Governorship election holds September 19. The two major contestants are the incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki of PDP, and Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the APC.
