IgbereTV captured an old photo of President Muhammdu Buhari, the then All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) Presidential Candidate in the 2003 Presidential Election, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Presidential Candidate, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu and APGA National Chairman, Chief Dr Chekwas Okorie during Dim Ojukwu’s 70th birthday anniversary held in November 2003 at Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri, Imo State organized by Chief Chekwas Okorie in collaboration with the then APGA member in the House of Representatives, Hon. Uche Onyeaguocha and Prof. Chinedu Nwajiuba, current Vice Chancellor of Alex Ejwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwu, Ebonyi State.
At the party, the then President Olusegun Obasanjo was represented by Prof Jerry Gana, then Minister of Information in the picture delivering his goodwill message.
This was one of Chief Chekwas Okorie’s means of further uniting the Igbos with the rest of Nigeria.
Chief Chekwas Okorie is the founder of the United Progressives Party of Nigeria (UPP).
