The Abia state commissioner for information, John Okiyi Kalu in a latest statement has disclosed that he has tested negative for COVID-19.
An excited Kalu added that he has gone back to work with redoubled vigilance and obedience to necessary safety protocols.
He said in a statement, “So the Honorable Commisioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji, called me and said “Old boy your result is negative for COVID-19.”
This comes following the announcement by Abia state governor Okezie Ikpeazu urging Executive members to go and get their COVID-19 test done.
Recall that Governor Ikpeazu
of Abia State, on Sunday had said he would go into self-isolation following
the outcome of tests conducted on close family members of a late member of the state executive council (Exco) and a member of the Inter-ministerial committee on COVID-19.
