The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomole in a recent statement has insisted on direct primary to pick the party’s Edo Governorship candidate on June 22, IgbereTV report.
Oshiomole made this known after a meeting with members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and Governors elected under the platform of the party.
This comes after the meeting, which lasted for over three hours at the National Secretariat in Abuja.
In another report, it was claimed that there is tension in Edo state over who becomes the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of primaries slated for Monday, June 22, as Governor Godwin Obaseki, sought President Muhammadu Buhari’s intervention.
According to the report, the governor, during his visit to Aso Villa on Monday, June 1, presented expression of interest form for his re-election bid on the platform of the APC to the president.
