At least five groups have lambasted the former Secretary to Ebonyi State Government, Professor Bernard Odoh and declared him enemy of the state over the two billion naira allegedly embezzled by him while in office.
Some of the groups include, The Society For Development In Nigerian Universities, Association Of The Blind, Ebonyi State Chapter, Women Voice In Politics, Ebonyi Chapter and
Unwu-Ekumenyi General Youth Assembly Promoters of good governance.

In a communique made available to Igbere TV on Wednesday, the Association Of The Blind, Ebonyi State Chapter, called on Professor Odoh to submit himself for probe and come up with any defense he said is at his disposal, and stop distracting Governor Umahi.
The group said it read a damaging letter against His Excellency, Engr Dr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE, Governor of Ebonyi State from his former Secretary to the State Government, Professor Bernard Ifeanyichukwu Odoh and
condemn in the strongest of term, such silly acts of Professor Odoh, and hereby call for retraction of the said letter and immediate apology.
In the same vein, another renowned group, The Society For Development In Nigerian Universities, said Professor Odoh is a fraudster clad in academic regalia and revealed that details of his sudden emergence as a professor is in public domain for the world to see.
The group further gave Professor Bernard Odoh 7days ultimatum to apologise to Governor David Umahi or have them to contend.

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF THE BLIND, EBONYI STATE CHAPTER AFTER EMERGENCY MEETING AT THE NATIONAL SECRETARIAT,
ON FRIDAY, 22ND MAY, 2020.
After our emergency meeting held on Thursday, 21st of May, 2020 at our secretariat, the following were agreed by our members
1. The association read a damaging letter against His Excellency, Engr Dr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE, Governor of Ebonyi State from his former Secretary to the State Government, Professor Bernard Ifeanyichukwu Odoh and
condemn in the strongest of term, such silly acts of Professor Odoh, and hereby call for retraction of the said letter and immediate apology.
2. The association commended the proactive measures of the state Government under Governor Umahi especially in the fight against the Corona Virus pandemic, distribution palliatives to our association, and above all unprecedented development of the state. Our association view as diversionary, Professor Odoh’s letter and call on Governor Umahi to remain resolute, firm and determined in his quest to place the state on the same pedestal with developed economies.
3. We call on Professor Odoh to submit himself for probe and come up with any defense he said is at his disposal, and stop distracting His Excellency in this Divine Mandate Assignment.
4. The association sincerely wishes to commend Governor Umahi for always putting the affairs of our association in front burner, provisions of good roads, and infrastructure that enhances the socioeconomic of our dear state.
5. As a matter of urgency, the association calls on the Government to probe anyone
found stealing, diverting, and misappropriating our collective patrimony and treat
such person as an enemy of the state.

On Professor Bernard Ifeanyichukwu Odoh’s misappropriation of 2billion naira, our position
Our attention as critical stakeholders has been drawn to a purported letter written by Professor Bernard Odoh, one time secretary to the Government of Ebonyi State expressing
what he called ‘concern’ for the people of Ebonyi State and state as follows;
1. At what point did Professor Odoh became mindful of the plight of the people of Ebonyi State having diverted a staggering 2billion naira earmarked for agro-allied businesses in the Ebonyi State? This begs for answers, Professor Odoh should please provide an
answer.
2. We condemn in strongest of terms, the renewed character assassination of His Excellency, Engr. David Nweze Umahi by one we had earlier rejected because of his administrative incompetence as the Secretary to the State Government.
3. That the hast that characterized Professor Odoh’s letter at a time the Government is recovering stolen and diverted funds belong to it is undeserving of attention as it is
complicit.
4. That Professor Odoh is a fraudster clad in academic regalia, details of his sudden emergence as a professor is in public domain for the world to see and sever ties with
such strange bedfellow.
5. Ebonyi State as a growing state cannot continue to lose resources to pilfer even as it is in dire need of funds to fast track development goals as the fastest growing state in the West African subregion. We therefore call on the Ebonyi State Government under the leadership of Engr. David Nweze Umahi to hasten the recovering of funds illegally
diverted by Professor Bernard Odoh, former Secretary to the Ebonyi State Government.
Further to this, we give Professor Bernard Odoh 7days ultimatum to apologise to Governor David Umahi or have us to contend.
