BREAKING: Nigeria's COVID-19 Cases Near 6,000 With 338 New Infections

Nigeria on Sunday recorded 338 new infections of the novel Coronavirus pandemic, Igbere TV reports.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), in a tweet late Sunday.

The agency said, with the latest figure, the nation has a total of 5,959 confirmed cases. Only 4,183 are however active.

Since the outbreak of the disease in Nigeria, 1,594 persons have been discharged, with 182 deaths recorded.

Only 33,970 samples have been tested nationwide as at 16th May, with Kogi and Cross River as the only states with no single case.
