The Federal House of Representatives has approved the request by President Muhammadu Buhari, to borrow N850bn to fund the 2020 budget.
Igbere TV recalls that the Senate had earlier okayed the borrowing plan which sparked controversy amidst rising debt profile of the nation, and dwindling revenue.
The approval was, however, given by the House at plenary on Tuesday, despite the controversy the request had generated in recent times.
