The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire in a live programme discuss the topic “Strengthening Health Systems”, where he stated that Nigeria is in the community transmission phase of #COVID19 and this new phase requires a totally different approach.
“The Ministry of Health is now formulating a National Response Action Plan to address this Community Transmission phase & have brought in other agencies to assist in the response activities” Osagie said.
“We have gone through the prototypes & are ramping up conversation for domestic production of PPE. The major challenges in #COVID19 response are limited bed spaces in isolation & treatment centres & also getting positive cases to be isolated & treated.”
