After rumours of plans by the government to extend the Covid-19 lockdown in the country by another 14 days, RevolutionNow activist and Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore has annonced a Nationwide Sit-At-Home protest against the move to extend the lockdown, IgbereTV reports
According to IgbereTV report, Sowore took to his Twitter handle to announce the protest.
He wrote, #RevolutionNow Pots are empty, plates are empty and the stomach is very empty! Bang your pot at home, don’t let hunger kill you at home because of their greed, corruption and incompetence.

According to Sowore, the protest which he called Pots Pans Protest is expected to begin on Saturday April 25th to Saturday May 2nd, 12 noon daily, during which Nigerians are expected to bang their pots and pans in expression of hunger.
IgbereTV recalls that after his announcement of a Nationwide Revolution for August 5, 2019, Sowore was arrested and detained on August 3rd, 2019 and was later released on bail on 24th December, 2019 after a tension-packed legal tussle with the Nigeria government.
