Kano State has recorded 12 new confirmed cases of coronavirus pandemic, bringing the total number of cases to 21.
This was announced by the Kano State Ministry of Health in a tweet sighted by Igbere TV on its Twitter handle late Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had announced 5 cases in addition to the index 4, making it a total of 9.
Nigeria’s confirmed cases of COVID-19 rose to 407 on same Wednesday as 34 new cases were announced by the NCDC.
Lagos remains the epicentre for the outbreak in Nigeria, with total number of cases hitting 232 since the first index case in the country.
In Kano, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje had on Tuesday imposed a seven-day lockdown on the state to curb the disease’s spread, Igbere TV reports.
