The Lagos state govt has addressed the increase in the rate of armed robberies in the state
Aside from receiving assistance from the Inspector General of Police, the state govt disclosed it has put measures in place to to protect lives and properties in the state.
Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in a statement said, “we have the responsibility of ensuring the security of the lives and properties of all residents in Lagos. We will not abandon this responsibility at any time. We will definitely see an increase in mobile police deployment in all trouble spots across the metropolis.”
“Our security agencies will intensify their patrols around residential areas, boundary communities and other critical areas of activity during this lockdown period. I urge all residents to cooperate with them and thank you for your resilience during this extraordinary time.”
