He thinks about tomorrow, he sees the future and works tirelessly and timelessly to tighten the future of the youths and economy of Ebonyi State.
Few days ago while addressing the press, Governor Umahi noted that Ebonyi youths who still hawk in traffic junctions of other States are ignorant of the staring fact that Ebonyi State has moved on. He called on Ebonyi youths to think getting established at home as there are several opportunities backed by available loan to help in setting them up.
Governor Umahi took it upon himself immediately he got the wind of the presence of COVID-19 in Nigeria, he tightened the state and never allowed a loosed gap for the travelling pandemic.
Some of the many things done by the proactive Governor that blocked the path of the travelling dreaded virus includes: Immediate closure of all exits and entrances in the state; this he supervised personally on daily basis to ensure total compliance.
Immediate setting up of EXCO Anti – COVID-19 team which he headed himself and oversees it till date.
Suspension of all Burials, Birthdays, Crusade and related gatherings to ensure that there is no contact/spread of the virus.
Quarantining of all COVID-19 carriers for 14 days at first instance without segregation of who is or who is not.
Just this evening, the state government approved N1B palliative to cushion the effect of COVID19 Pandemic which resulted in the partial lockdown of the state
Etc.
To the glory of God, Ebonyi State is COVID-19 free as at today and we pray that we will continue to be as we continue to abide by the rules and recommendations of World Health Organization recommendations and directives of the Ebonyi State Government.
