Man Arrested in Aba After Facebook Post Criticising, Calling Buhari 'Jubril' (Photos)

The Police, on Thursday, arrested a Nigerian man, identified as Akuma Solomon after making several posts on Facebook, criticising President Muhammadu Buhari.

He also shared posts by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, calling President Buhari, Jubril of Sudan

According to a close source who spoke to Igbere TV on condition of anonymity, Solomon was arrested in Aba before he was transferred to Umuahia, before being moved to Enugu State, now heading to Abuja, the nation’s captial.

He also revealed that the man’s father was abducted but was released immediately Solomon was arrested in Aba.

He, however, accused Police Force Headquarters Abuja of arresting Solomon over his continuous posts against the President of Nigeria.

In his words,

“He has been a strong critic of President Muhammadu Buhari and was abducted by the Force Headquarters Abuja,”he said.

“His father was first arrested, and he was used to track Solomon and when he (Solomon) was eventually arrested, the old man was released.”

“I also gathered that he was transferred from Aba where he was first arrested to Enugu State now heading to Abuja”.

“We plead with well meaning Nigerians to help us beg the relevant authorities to release our brother for us”.

He also sent screenshots of the post made by his brother to our correspondent.

*Meanwhile, when Igbere TV contacted the Officer in charge of the matter on telephone, he confirmed that Solomon was arrested in Aba and has been moved to Police Force Headquarters Abuja* .

“We have told you people that he was arrested in Aba yesterday and has been moved to Police Force Headquarters Abuja. And if you need more information, go there,” he told our correspondent.

However, effort by Igbere TV to speak with the Spokesman of the Nigerian Police, Frank Mba to comment on the issue proved abortive as text messages, calls placed on him were not replied as at the time of filing this report.
