The Omega Power Ministries OPM has responded to a report by media outfit, Igbo Watch that Abia state Governor Okezie Ikpeazu shared garri and soup in the state.
OPM in it statement disclosed that it attention have been drawn to a false representation of Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyerre, General Overseer , Omega Power Ministries(OPM) as Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu by a social Media group called IGBO WATCH.
The statement described Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere as a dedicated prophet and Servant of God whose contributions to humanity cannot be hidden and he has been described at various quarters as a man with heart of Gold and that’s truly what he is.
“OPM free restaurant have been in operation for the past seven years which we know was the first of its kind in Nigeria. This is where people who are poor and less privileged irrespective of their tribes or religion goes and eat free of charge .
In Nigeria we all know the season we are in. Covid:19 which have caused Nigerian government and state government to shut down the country and the state also led to the shutting down of the free restaurant.
Being a man of God who have feelings for the poor and considering the high level of hunger and starvation in the land reconsidered the reopening of the free restaurant to serve people in take away packs. Apostle Chinyere did not just approve the reopening of the restaurant, he came by himself to make sure that people were served accordingly while he gives out reasonable amount of money to everyone that comes,” the statement read.
OPM disclosed that the said event took place in Rivers State and they wonder why IGBO WATCH should embark on such cheap propaganda in the name of destroying Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
The OPM stated that Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu’s interest is to “build the Abia of our dreams and he has been working round the clock to achieve that. On the issue of Covid :19 in Abia , Governor Ikpeazu has put some measures in place to curtail the spread and should not be distracted at this time.”
“When Omega power Ministries built 14 free schools, 2 free specialist hospital, 17 free estate where the poor and the less privileged lives free of charge, Free skills acquisition center which have trained more than 10,000 Nigerians, free boutique, etc we are wondering why the IGBO WATCH were not watching.
Recently, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere through his Ministry sent 20 poor Nigerians to study at Kirlaleri University Turkey and their tuition and accommodations fully paid for four years while account were opened for their monthly upkeep, we are still wondering why IGBO WATCH were not watching.
We want to use this medium to advice IGBO WATCH to desist from such scandalous and unholy propaganda or face the wrath of God.
Apostle Chinyere is a servant of God and not a politician,’ the OPM added.
