An aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has tested positive to the dreaded Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Igbere TV reports.
Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, stated this on Thursday in Abuja, in a press briefing update on the fight against the disease.
Ehanire, who was silent on the identity of the presidential aide, however, said the patient is presently undergoing treatment.
Nigeria has a total of 51 confirmed cases of coronavirus spread across eight states, with two patients so far discharged and one death recorded.
Among top figures who have tested positive to COVID-19 include, Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President; and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
