The announcement was contained in a tweet by Salihu Yakasai [@dawisu], the Director General, Media and Communications to Governor Ganduje on Friday.

He said the measure will take effect from midnight Friday March 27, 2020.

Revealing that the Aminu Kano International Airport would also be shut, the governor’s aide said “no one will be allowed into Kano or to go out of the state from Friday.”

Igbere TV gathered some of the routes and land borders leading into Kano, and that would be affected to include, the Jigawa, Katsina, Kaduna and Bauchi states borders.
