The first Coronavirus death has been recorded in Nigeria, Igbere TV reports. The deceased is one Mr. Suleiman Achimugu.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the deceased was a 67-year-old, who returned from the UK two weeks ago.
“He had underlying medical conditions – multiple myeloma and diabetes and was undergoing chemotherapy,” the statement added.
Achimugu died Monday morning at thw Gwagwalada hospital in Abuja. His family are currently under quarantine in their house.
Igbere TV gathered that the deceased is a former Managing Director of the Pipeline and Product Marketing Company, (PPMC).
