Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday gave update on what his administration is doing to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the state.
He called on the private sector to support the government as well as Power Distribution Companies to make life easier at this period.
Sanwo-Olu said, “Our sensitisation efforts will continue to go out on all channels; on radio in our indigenous languages to television, to the internet channels and through grassroot community information dissemination. If we have to use town criers, we will use them.
Changes are being made to state run transportation, we will enforce safe number of passengers in our vehicles and also work with all our partners for other transportation channels in the state. We need to flatten the curve as we work together to stop the spread of #COVID19.
I appeal to the private sector to join us in enforcing social distancing and public gathering by making adjustments to how their employees work and move around. We also want to appeal to our power distribution companies to do all they can in this period to make life easier.
With the cooperation of the people towards obeying the public health guidelines, I believe this will pass us by in no time. Let’s all do the right thing.”
