The New Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has been formally installed as the new Emir of Kano, IgbereTV reports.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who was until his appointment the Emir of Bichi in Kano State, replaces Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who was dethroned on Monday by the Kano State government.
During the ceremony, the new Emir received appointment letter and certificate of office from the Kano state government, presented by the state Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Similarly, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje also presented appointment letters to the new Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero.
The new Emir of Bichi, held the position of Ciroma Kano under the deposed Emir Sanusi, before his elevation to a First Class Emir to rule over the Bichi Emirate.
Emir Nasiru Ado Bayero succeeded his elder brother, Emir Aminu Ado Bayero who was moved from Bichi Emirate to Kano Emirate, upon the dethronement of former Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.
