The Abia State House of Assembly presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, on Monday received a Letter from the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, nominating Prof Mkpa Agu Mkpa as the Chairman-Designate of the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC).
Following the reading of the letter, the House subsequently invited the Chairman-Designate to appear before it on Tuesday during Plenary by 10am.
The House also considered the report of the House Committee on Agriculture on a petition titled “Save Our Soul”: A Call for Urgent Intervention in the Looming Crises between Ubaha- Umunna Nsulu Community and Fulani Herdsmen”, in the Committee of the Whole.
Today’s plenary included the report of the Joint Committee on Health and Education on H.A.B 4: “A Bill for a Law to Establish the Abia State Hospital Management Board”.
The House subsequently adjourned Plenary to resume back on Tuesday, 10th of March, 2020, by 10am.
