Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun joins the rest of the country to celebrate one of Nigeria’s political icon, former President Olusegun Obasanjo as he clocks 83.
Dapo Abiodun disclosed that on Wednesday evening he saw the play, Àrèmú which was staged to celebrate Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who clocks 83 on Thursday.
At the premiere, the Governor stressed that he would continue to encourage the kind of art in Ogun State.
Dapo Abiodun said, ”Chief Obasanjo, in whose honour the play was produced, is undoubtedly one of the luckiest, most patriotic and blessed human beings. A bundle of contradictions, Baba has his roots in the tiny town of Ibogun but he rose to wine and dine with kings.”
“God took him through the furnace, and he came out prepared for a larger role. I am convinced that a man who cannot be broken by wrongful imprisonment deserves celebration.”
