The Lagos state govt led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday at a Public-Private Partnership Dialogue on Education organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Education, emphasised that the state government will work with the private sector to improve the quality of education and learning outcomes of our pupils.
The Governor hinted that his administration has “increased the budgetary allocation from N65b to N135b and we have commissioned a total of 60,000 chairs and tables for our pupils and will increase to 100,000 before the end of the year. We are improving infrastructure in 300 schools this year.”
“We started with 60 schools last year when we set up the School Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Development Unit. Budgetary allocation alone can not adequately cover all that needs to be done and this is the reason why government will not ignore support from the private sector,” he added.
