Former Senator, Shehu Sanni on Sunday commended members of the Catholic Church in the country for the peaceful protest they embarked upon over the prevailing insecurity nationwide, IgbereTV reports.
This comes after reports made it known that Catholics in Nigeria as well as Christians from other denomination assembled in Abuja on Sunday to march against incessant killings and kidnapping in the country.
The report revealed the march was organised by the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria and started from the Ecumenical centre ended at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral.
A large number of Catholics were spotted at the march, bearing placards and banners conveying their messages.
