Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s of Enugu State has continued his rural development programmes in the State.
This time, Igbere TV correspondent visited the ongoing construction of a Bailey bridge and civil works across Nyama River to Amechi, linking Umuogo and Umuagba Amechi Uno/Obeagu Community in Enugu South Local Government Area, being executed by the state government (see pictures no.1-4)
While at the project site today, our correspondents ran into the Transition Committee Chairman of Enugu South LGA, Hon. Peter Nnaji, who insisted that we tour some of the development projects of his 6-week administration, executed in the council area, such as the asphalting of Moses Ogbodo – Onuorie road off Amechi road and construction of a double cell culvert at Amaegbu Obeagu-Uno.
Other projects include the construction of a box culvert at Ebengene Albert, along Umunnajingene Isiagu road, Ugwuaji, grading of various roads and the construction of a box culvert at Onukwue Street, Maryland, which the elated residents described as “a miraculous intervention” in view of the fact that the road was hitherto impassable.
Picture no.5 down, show the projects executed by the Enugu South LGA T/C Chairman whose tenure ends on March 2, 2020.
It is on record that Transition Committee Chairmen in the other council areas, within this short period, also excuted people-oriented projects worthy of commendation.
It is indeed a challenging experience for the incoming council chairmen who will be sworn in on March 2, after the February 29 LG elections, to drive the grassroots development initiatives of the present administration in Enugu State.
