The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde in a statement on Thursday stated that Government shouldn’t run a business.
According to IgbereTV reports, he made this known when he visited Agrited Farm, a private poultry business in Fiditi, Afijio Local Government Area, which commenced operations in January this year, to assess the facilities and find out how his administration can support the business.
Seyi Makinde restated that “governments should not be running businesses. Rather, a government’s responsibility is to create an enabling environment where businesses can thrive as this will, in turn, create jobs and generate revenue for the government.”
