Gov. Ugwuanyi Campaigns In Enugu State Ahead Of LG Elections(Photos)

Ahead of February 29th Local Government elections, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, yesterday, led the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign train to some local communities across the state for the party’s flag-off of the councillorship election campaign in the 260 electoral wards, emerging the first governor of the state since 1999, to participate in the ward councillorship campaign of the party.

Igbere TV reports that Gov. Ugwuanyi, who was accompanied by the State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Augustine Nnamani, his Deputy Chief of Staff, Prof. Malachy Ikechukwu Okwueze and other party stalwarts, visited Obollo Etiti Ward in Udenu LGA, Ikem Ward II in Isi-Uzo LGA, Umuenwene Ward and Abakpa Ward 1, both in Enugu East LGA, where he campaigned for the PDP and interacted with the jubilant people of the areas, who could not hide their joy and enthusiasm when the governor arrived the venue.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, Member representing Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Conelius Nnaji, the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu, the Chairmen of the Local Government Areas and Wards visited, were among the party stakeholders, who were on ground to receive the people’s governor and his entourage.
