IgbereTV reports that on Monday, a Twitter handle identified as @TheRealDayne revealed some photos on the platforms alleging that they were pictures of the EFCC detention center in Port Harcourt.
Following the release of the photos, Nigerian took to the social media to react as many stated that the state of the cells were inhuman.
However, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC in a latest statement have informed the members of the public to disregard the fake tweet which they described as mischievous.
“PUBLIC NOTICE: Disregard Fake Tweet on EFCC Port Harcourt Zonal Office Cell These pictures purported to be the detention center of the Port Harcourt Office of the EFCC in a mischievous tweet by @TheRealDayne is fake.
The pictures in the tweet are strange to the EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office. That tweet is intended to mislead the public and the public is advised to discountenance it. Thanks.”
