Unknown gunmen on Friday night kidnapped a 30-year-old daughter of Professor Abdullahi Mustafa, a former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Igbere TV gathered that the gunmen stormed the Kaduna residence of the ex-VC at about 11:20 pm, shooting one of the security guards at the gate.
Residents of the community were said to have killed leader of the gang upon the release of the VC’s elder sister earlier kidnapped, after discovering she was asthmatic.
The kidnapped VC’s daughter, a mother of three children, was said to be visiting the father from Lagos for the first time this year.
The Divisional Police Officer in the area confirmed the incident to newsmen saying, “Honestly, since the kidnap incident happened, we have been investigating it and we’ll keep you informed later.”
