The Lagos State Government under the administration of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu is out to expand the public transportation system and options, according to IgbereTV reports.
Sanwo-Olu in a statement on Tuesday disclosed that ”it is glaring that for Lagos to be a functional smart city, there must be diversification in transportation. ”
He disclosed that to further expand the public transportation system and options available to Lagosians, his administration has launched additional ferry boats to complement the existing fleet of Lagos ferry boats.
The Lagos Ferry boats currently covers Ikorodu-Falomo, Ikorodu-Ebute Ero-Marina, Ebute Ojo-Ijegun Egba-Marina, Bayeku-Oke Ira Nla-Falomo, Mile 2-Marina and Badore-Ijede.
“We are investing to increase inter-connectivity of our transportation system in line with our agenda for a greater Lagos,” Sanwo-Olu added.
