The Manchester United Football Club (MUFC) have confirmed signing Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua on loan until the end of the season.
“MUFC can confirm that Odion Ighalo will join us on loan from Shanghai Shenhua until the end of the season. Welcome, Odion!,” the Club wrote in a tweet sighted by Igbere TV Saturday morning.
Ighalo, an Edo born, is still in China but expected to fly to the UK in the next few days. He had scored 39 goals in 99 matches for Watford between 2014 and 2017.
Representing his country, Nigeria, Ighalo finished as top scorer in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying with 7 goals, before scoring 5 at the tournament during the summer.
