According to the latest report, Spanish football club, Barcelona has sacked their coach, Ernesto Valverde.
This was made public in a statement by Barcelona on Monday, the report hinted that they now signed former Real Betis coach, Quique Setien as his replacement.
The La Liga toppers said in the statement “FC Barcelona and Quique Setien have reached an agreement for the latter to become first team coach until 30 June 2022.”
Barcelona sacked Valverde following their poor performance under him this season despite the fact that they are still in the race for the Uefa Champions League, where they will play against Italian side, Napoli.
Until becoming Barcelona coach, Satien was Real Betis coach but left the club last season on agreement.
