President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday signed into law the 2020 Appropriation Bill of N10.594 trillion.
Igbere TV reports that the development has paved way for the return of Nigeria to a January–December budget cycle.
It is the first time since 1999 that the appropriation bill is signed in December preceeding a new year.
In his remarks, the President commended the “patriotic zeal” of the National Assembly for the quick passage of the budget.
The signing of the Appropriation Bill comes on a day the President is celebrating his birthday.
