EEDC Throw Southeast Into Total Darkness

The entire five South Eastern States in Nigeria have been thrown into total darkness by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC.

In a statement made available to Igbere TV on Wednesday, Emeka Ezeh Head Communications, EEDC, said this is because of general system collapse.

The statement reads,

“The Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) wishes to inform her esteemed customers in the South East that the loss of supply currently being experienced is as a result of a general system collapse which occurred at 14:15hrs of today, 11th, December, 2019.”

“Consequently, all our customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States are out of electricity supply.”

“We are on standby and awaiting signal from the National Control Centre (NCC) for restoration of supply.”
