The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, on Wednesday, received the ‘Best Performing Speaker Of The Year’ award in his office.
The award was presented to him by his Deputy, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Uchendu.
Recall that during the Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Awards held at Sheraton Hotel Abuja on Thursday, November 28th, the Speaker, was represented by Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, representing Isialangwa North State Constituency.
Speaking with Igbere TV correspondent,. Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji thanked Igbere TV management for organising the event and the good people of Abia State for voting for him as the best speaker in Nigeria.
He revealed that they should expect more from him because he will not relent until the best is achieved in Abia State.
Other recipients of the Igbere TV Award include Senate President Ahmed Lawan, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Speaker of House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara; Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Sen. Godswill Akpabio.
Others were: Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi; former Governor of Imo, Sen. Rochas Okorocha; Acting EFCC Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu; Rep Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Femi Adesina, among others
