The visit, according to the outspoken legal practitioner turned lawmaker, was also to investigate if there were any cases where contractors are bidding for contracts already awarded by the Commission or executed before now.

“We were also there to see the level of works by various contractors handling NDDC projects in the state, and to ensure that projects said to have been completed were truly executed by such contractors,” Hon. Kalu said.

The lawmaker said the need to also appraise the need of the people informed them of the visit, adding, “we needed to find out if there were any area the government of the day needs NDDC’s attention in the state.”
