Chairman, Media and Public Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu has emerged the “Best Performing New Legislator” in the outgoing year 2019.
Kalu representing Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State in the National Assembly, bagged the prestigious award title at an event held at Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, Abuja, organized by Igbere TV News Agency.
He beat four other prominent new legislators in the House to clinch on to the title. They include: Hons. Dennis Idahosa, Chinedu Obidigwe, Muktar Shehu-Ladan and Jude Ise-Idehen.
In his acceptance speech, the Reps Spokesman called on Nigerian youths not to lose hope in the country, but to keep believing in their dreams.
He thanked Nigerians and people of his constituency for finding him worthy of being nominated and voted for the distinguished award, while eulogizing the organizers.
Igbere TV reports that Hon. Benjamin Kalu was accompanied by friends, family and some members of the “peoples parliament” House of Representatives, to the event venue.
