Dr. Sam Maduka Onyishi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Peace Mass transit, a popular transportation company in Nigeria, has been named 2019 “Man of Integrity” in business.
The transportation giant beat four other prominent captain of industries to clinch on to the award, at an event organized by Igbere TV at Sheraton Hotels, Abuja, on Thursday, Nov. 28.
Onyishi recently made headlines after he returned over $7.7 million (N2.2bn) wrongly credited to his account. This singular act, undoubtedly, informed Nigerians to nominate and vote him for the prestigious award.
Addressing newsmen shortly after receiving the award, the Peace Mass transit boss, who was represented by his daughter, thanked Nigerians for finding him worthy of the recognition.
He called on Nigerians, especially the youths, to be upright and uphold integrity always, while also lauding the organizers of the Award program.
Other recipients of the Igbere TV Award include Senate President Ahmed Lawan, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Speaker of House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara; Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Sen. Godswill Akpabio.
Others were: Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi; former Imo governor Sen. Rochas Okorocha; Acting EFCC Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu and Rep Nkeiruka Onyejeocha among others.
