The EFCC, Makurdi zonal office, on November 21, 2019, arraigned one Benki Iortyom Womboh, a lawyer, before Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon sitting at the Federal High Court, Makurdi, Benue State.
Igbere TV reports that he was arraigned on a two – count charge of fraud to the tune of N21, 000,000 (Twenty One Million Naira) only.
Barrister Womboh was also alleged to have refused to furnish the Commission with relevant information required in the declaration of Assets Form. Besides, the Lawyer allegedly accepted cash payment above the threshold, without going through a financial institution.
