The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the November 16, 2019 Kogi West Senatorial District rerun inconclusive.
INEC said this is because the margin of win was less than the total number of cancelled votes, hinting that it will announce a date for the supplementary election on a later date.
The Commission said the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Smart Adeyemi scored a total of 80,118 votes while the incumbent Senator Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party, scored 59,548 votes.
