The Nigerian Government through its Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has reportedly banned the operations of Dana Air by suspending its operating licens, Igbere TV has learnt.
This was made known by NCAA’s spokesperson, Sam Adurogboye, in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr. Adurogboye explained that the suspension order commenced on Wednesday.
According to him, the suspension was carried out to pave way for an investigation on the airline.
He explained that Dana Air had already complied with the order.
According to report, the suspension is coming on the heels of an earlier resolution of the Senate’s directive to the NCAA to ban the airline from flying in the Nigerian airspace.
Recall that Dana Air aircraft carrying 153 people crashed in Lagos few years ago, killing everybody aboard.
