IgbereTV reports that Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Ogun State Governor has offered an automatic employment to the best graduating Student of the Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, Miss Yetunde Adedokun.

The governor said that Adedokun, who graduated from the Department of Accountancy with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.85, needs to be recognised and rewarded for her academic excellence, while the 58 with distinctions must be encouraged in their academic pursuits.

The governor also revealed that his Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation, Lekan Olude, would be instructed to give special preference to the 58 graduands in various youth empowerment schemes of his administration.

He also praised the management of the institution for turning out world class graduates.

Abiodun urged the 2,000 new graduates of the institution to embrace and explore opportunities in the agricultural programmes of his administration.

The governor further urged the graduates of the institution to put their training in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Engineering and the sciences to help in Ogun’s quest for technological development.

He praised the institution for constructing the internal road of the campus, building of a twin 2,000-seat lecture theatre and landscaping through internally generated revenue, saying that his administration would always support OGITECH and other institutions of higher learning in the state.

The Rector of the institution, Olufunke Akinkurolere said also used the opportunity of the governor’s presence to seek his assistance to save the school from land encroachers, who she said had already occupied a large portion of the institution’s land.
