The Court of Appeal sitting in Sokoto State has sacked All Progressives Congress senator representing Sokoto South senatorial district, Abubakar Tambuwal.
Igbere TV reports that the Court also sacked member representing Bodinga/Dange Shuni/Tureta Federal Constituency, Aliyu Shehu, also of the APC.
The Court subsequently declared Ibrahim Danbaba and Balarabe Kakale of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Senate and House position respectively.
The PDP candidates had filed separate appeals against the judgment of the Election Petitions Tribunal which upheld the elections of Senator Tambuwal and Reps Shehu.
Delivering judgement on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, the judge, Justice Federich Oho, said Danbaba and Kakale’s appeals succeeded.
