The Governorship Election Petition Appeal sitting in Enugu has affirmed the victory of Governor David Nweze Umahi as the duly elected governor of Ebonyi State as a petition by Mr. Ajah Arua of PDM challenging his victory was struck out in the early hours of Tuesday.
Igbere TV recalls that the Tribunal sitting in Abakaliki had on September 3rd struck out the same petition for lack of merit but the said Mr. Arua proceeded to Court of Appeal which was also brought to nothingness today.
Speaking with Igbere TV correspondent in Abakaliki, the Special Assistant on Media to Umahi said that they are aware that Mr. Arua was heading for total failure on his mission following the glaring evidence which supports the re-election of Governor David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE. A situation where he won his major opponent with over 90% of votes casted.
He said : “In all, we say Congratulations to our wonder working Governor for this second victory for Ebonyians.”
