President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over an extraordinary Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
The meeting which is currently being held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, would deliberate on the 2020 budget proposal.
Igbere TV had reported that Buhari will on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 formally present the Appropriation Bill to a combined session of the National Assembly.
The extraordinary FEC meeting is being attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha.
Others in attendance are the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, acting Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan and cabinet ministers/ministers.
The ongoing extraordinary FEC meeting was earlier scheduled for October 5, but shifted for some reasons, recalls Igbere TV.
