In Gubio, Town, Headquarters of Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State, a lot of persons were killed and about hundred made to flee their homes when the Nigerian Military engaged members of the Book Haram in a fierce gun battle that lasted for 3hours, Igberetv reports.
The insurgents who were large in number, laid ambush on local troops and the Nigerian Military, opened attack.
Though there were casualties sustained on both sides, the insurgents were later defeated and repelled after a fierce gun battle.
