The Kaduna State Government has began the full implementation of the N30,000 new national minimum wage, checks by Igbere TV has shown.
Igbere TV reliably gathered that the new payments began late Thursday, September 26, in some government ministries and agencies.
With the latest development, Kaduna State is officially the first state in the federation to fully implement the new minimum wage regime.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had recently signed the new minimum wage bill into law, after it was jointly passed by both chambers of the National Assembly.
A quick check by Igbere TV on Thursday night showed many Kaduna workers taking to social media to heap praises on the state governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai, over the development.
