President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr. Mrs. Folashade Yemi-Esan as the Acting Head of the Civil Service of the Federation with immediate effect, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV reports that Dr. Mrs. Yemi-Esan, who is the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, takes over from Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, embattled head of the Civil Service.
A statement obtained by Igbere TV on Wednesday, issued by Office of the Secretary to Government of the Federation (OSGF), said Mrs Oyo-Ita is to proceed on an indefinite leave.
Igbere TV reliably gathered that the move was to allow conclusion of the ongoing trial of Oyo-Ita, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
