Following the judgment of the National and State Assembly Election Petition Panel sitting in Umuahia, Abia state on Abia North Senatorial District, a lawyer based in the state, Edwin Nkole Esq, has pleaded with the three-man panel headed by Justice Cornelius Akintayo to release the true copy of the judgment of the tribunal to parties in the suit, Igbere TV reports.
Speaking with Igbere TV correspondent on Monday, Edwin Nkole Esq faulted the panel for what he described as “unprofessional conduct and a deliberate plot to circumvent the judicial and electoral processes”.
He noted that a true copy of the judgment is needed by affected parties for appropriate legal actions.
His words, “owing to the delay in the release of judgment, it is clear that it is a deliberate attempt by the panel to sabotage the judicial process.
“The judgment should be made available to all parties not later than seven days from the date the judgment was delivered.”
