BREAKING!!! Heavy Gunmen Attack Nigeria Girls School, Kidnap Teachers, Students

Unknown gunmen have reportedly attacked a secondary school in Zamfara state, kidnapping some teachers and students in the process.

Igbere TV gathered that the bandits struck at the Government Girls Secondary School, Moriki, in Zurü local government area, on Wednesday night, and opened fire immediately.

They were said to have killed one man in the process and abducted two teachers and four nursing students.

It was, however, gathered that the gunmen were unable to gain access to where the majority of the students were sleeping.

The incident, according to report, happened while residents were watching the UEFA Champions league match between Liverpool and Barcelona.

Efforts by Igbere TV to reach the village heads and police in the area for comments were unsuccessful.

Igbere TV reports that Zamfara State has been under heavy attack by bandits in the past few years.

But the attacks have heightened in 2019 despite efforts by the security agencies to address the situation.

Just recently, Igbere TV reported that the Federal Government had to put a stop to ongoing mining in the state, and ordered foreign miners to leave the state immediately owing to the security challenges.

Similarly, The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) have continually combed the bushes in the state and recorded huge success in the fight against bandits in the state.

Though, traditional rulers have accused NAF of killing “innocent citizens” in the process, a claim which did not go down well with the NAF authorities.
